Nana recently watched the slide show of our pets. Her little Clipper dog (the one she thoroughly researched before embarking on yet another dog.) This little guy is the result of her research for Pop and herself, followed and likewise won over to the breed were Hannah and Pam.... anyway.... after watching the slideshow, she sent a fun response and a Clipper story... thought I'd share from yet another of our family gems.
Honey, I loved the slide show! You would have enjoyed the morning with your Mom and Dad!! Clipper has been coming in with bloody pecks on his little head and we have been trying to find the protective Mom blue jay. Well!!! We found the trouble. A loud, full of life baby blue jay found his way into the green house and evidently refused his Mom's urging to come home to his nest. So,, she has been bringing him food in his new home the green house!!! Clipper is determined to make friends. Not going to happen. He goes close to the door and Momma dive bombs him!!! I really thought he was smarter than this!!! He refuses to stay away. So, we have blown everything BUT THE BABY BLUE JAY out and blocked the door so Momma can get in but Clipper stays out. That baby can make enough noise to call his protector from anywhere and poor Clipper heads for the doggy door but usually not in time! It really is hilarious. Your Dad and I thought we would scare that baby out with the blower!!! NO way. I hope he gets his flying wings soon and Clipper can once again enjoy his back yard!!!
Thanks for sharing Nana.... yes, the fruit never falls far from the tree! (or maybe I should qualify that... unless you are a blue jay with your own set of hopes, dreams and plans.... I hope he gets his wings soon too Nana, so Clipper can once again be free to reign in his own back yard)
