DOG TIRED!!! or puppy in this case

Do you remember Mac Davis? well I surely do, and sometimes these little charmers remind me of one of his most famous songs.....
Oh LORD it's hard to be humble!!!!
When you're perfect in every way...... I can't wait to look in the mirror....
I get better looking each day!
(are you singing it???)
Well, the truth is........these little ones just have so much fun being in every one's arms that the effort is simply EXHAUSTING!!! good thing there is a nice safe place to just RELAX! and let the world go by.
Of course it'd be much easier to sleep if your sister wasn't breathing in your ears!

BIG FRIENDS are good!

Everyone needs BIG friends.....even when sometimes your MOMMA has to be put in another room to allow the aquaintance. Scarlett is looking around to see if Latte is gonna come "jump" on her because she wants to be friends with the kids. Naturally it is little Elvis Bear (he looks so like a teensy grizzly) who is checking out the Big White Friend. Jewel is busy seeing what to get into next!
Then.........they get up close and personal. Little did they know that Scarlett's nose is as big as their little heads!
But that quickly becomes boring as there is a WORLD outside the pen to explore... guess what they find. It is the nemisis of the canine crew at my house. THE VACUUM!!!! DYSON IS HIS NAME!

No problem says Jewel as she suggests she'll take the backend while MR. Grizzly can maintain the front.
Mission accomplished, they come to the much needed assurance from safe hands...

Are they not the cutest little guys you ever saw>?? Five weeks old and adorable!

Elvis & Jewel's statistics... adorable!

Thought I'd give some statistics so that you can know size wise what you are seeing in the pictures of our babies a little over 3 weeks old. https://www.akc.org/breeds/yorkshire_terrier/index.cfm
(this is the official site for the American Kennel Club that lists the specifications
as they see the Yorkshire breed)
This is our little boy, named Elvis by KG.
He is about 6 inches long head to tail tip, and weighs around 3/4 lb.
His color will most likely be the blue and gold (one of the 4 colors of Yorkie).
He has a short nose like his mom and dad,
one of the things that I particularly looked for in the sire as I had in my little Latte.
(I looked through several litters and for many months to find this face! it is important to me!)
The tan mingled with the black is just part of his puppy coat, but it also is an indication of his adult color. These babies will have silky hair, not wavy or fluffy.
The little female is about 1/2 inch shorter bodied than Elvis with the same tiny face and short nose. KG named her jewel because of her shiny coat and just because it fit. Jewel's ears are already beginning to stand. We'll see as she gets a fuller coat.
She weighs slightly less than her brother, but (right now it appears) both will be between 4-51/2 lbs when grown. You can double their weight at 12 weeks and know pretty close to their adult size. Jewel will be a darker blue coated Yorkie. She will still most likely turn out to be blue and gold, just a darker silver blue color.
I am putting this information on this blog because I am praying for the right families to have these little ones. They are the last babies Latte will have, and they will be some family's best friend, just like my Latte is for me. Latte's last litter Ginger and Bean have been great companion dogs too. Bean is around 4 pounds and Ginger is about 5. Latte weighs 5 1/2 and the sire, Blue, weighs 3 1/2 pounds. I hope you enjoy seeing our little ones as much as I enjoy showing them to you!
Bless you bunches!

3 weeks old yesterday

TR holding little Jewel..... both have such sleek shiny hair. Jewel will be the traditional gunmetal and silver whereas her showoff brother Elvis....
will be a flashier silver and golden color......fits huh??? remember the fancy bling bling of his namesake??? well, this one is much more cuddly and an entirely laid back personality!!! Can you believe their ears are already trying to stand up???
see what I mean...... "LAID BACK!!!"
Jewel, on the other hand, is ready to play and often tugs on her brother's ears to get him perturbed enough to play.
but not much moves this guy to get really excited!!! unless it is hearing his momma, Latte jump into the pen for dinner time! Oh my they are getting so very cute! Y'all pray with me for the families that will be getting these two. I know there are many who say they want a yorkie, but you well know that often it takes a particular personality with each kind of dog. And these two are the last ones of Latte's babies. I know special folks are gonna get them!
Would that we all could have this kind of absolute PEACE!
